California FAIR Plan
Get the FAIR Plan Wildfire Discounts You Deserve
The California FAIR Plan offers discounts on the wildfire portion of your premium for specific mitigation work on your home, its immediate surroundings and your community. The discounts are not applied automatically. A licensed broker has to request them on your policy.
Mitigation work may qualify you for a discount on the wildfire portion of your policy. The CA FAIR Plan schedule caps at 16.4% off the wildfire portion of a Dwelling Fire policy for all 12 measures combined, and your own carrier sets the actual number.

WildfireList and Five Bays Insurance Agency are both owned by AACI Group. Five Bays Insurance Agency is a licensed California insurance agency, California Department of Insurance license 6016871. There's no fee to you. Like all brokers, Five Bays is paid by commission that's already part of your premium: the FAIR Plan pays Five Bays while it is your Broker of Record, and if you choose new coverage, that carrier pays Five Bays. Using WildfireList does not require you to use Five Bays, and naming Five Bays as your broker does not guarantee any discount, coverage, pricing or eligibility. Only the California FAIR Plan decides whether a discount applies. WildfireList does not submit requests to the FAIR Plan. Five Bays Insurance Agency and WildfireList are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the California FAIR Plan Association.

Why You Need a Broker
The FAIR Plan handles policy changes through the broker of record on your policy, so discount requests go through your broker. You can't apply for them on your own, and WildfireList can't submit them for you.
How Five Bays Can Help
- Five Bays Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency, can become the broker on your FAIR Plan policy. A licensed Five Bays broker can then review which discounts your home may qualify for and request them from the FAIR Plan for you.
- You make it official by signing one page, the FAIR Plan's own Broker of Record Change Request form. A licensed Five Bays broker signs it too and submits it for you.
- It doesn't change your coverage or your premium, and you never have to change insurance companies. You can change brokers anytime by signing a new Broker of Record form.
- The FAIR Plan may inspect your property to confirm the work. Discounts usually show up on your next policy period.
