Who it's for: Water-efficiency rebate that supports defensible space. For NID residential treated water customers who convert lawn to replacement landscape. Pays $1.00 per square foot of converted turf up to $1,000 per residential meter; at least 250 square feet must be converted. One turf rebate per account or parcel. Funding is limited and rebates are first come, first served. The customer installs the replacement landscape.

How to Apply

Submit the application by email or mail. 2) Receive pre-approval (estimate only). 3) Send pre-conversion photos; NID may inspect before removal. 4) Finish conversion within 90 days of approval. 5) Send post-conversion photos and the Plant Coverage worksheet; NID may inspect. 6) Rebate issued as a bill credit after approval.
