Who it's for

Water-efficiency rebate that supports defensible space. Pays $1.00 per square foot of irrigated turf removed, up to $750 per residential property, for replacing lawn with drought-tolerant or native plants, mulch, drip irrigation or other water-wise features. For residents and property owners inside American Canyon city limits; renters need the owner's written permission. Funding is first come, first served while funds last. Do not start before approval; finish within six months of the Notice to Proceed; pass a final City inspection and keep the landscape for five years. Homeowners may do the work or hire a contractor.
